Callaghan College

Project Overview

CWPM was appointed as project manager for the state-of-the-art redevelopment of the Jesmond Campus for Callaghan College, completed in July 2020.

Appointed by Schools Infrastructure NSW, CWPM delivered this unique performing arts educational facility that includes nine new permanent flexible and innovative learning spaces including dance studio, dance theory, art room, visual arts theory, wet lab, digital lab, music recording studio, edit suite, music theory, and seminar facilities.

CWPM led the project through design development, procurement, contract management, operational and facility commissioning, through to post completion reviews.

Aims & Outcomes

• Nine new permanent and flexible learning spaces including dance studio, dance theory, art room, visual arts theory, wet lab, digital lab, music recording studio, edit suite, music theory, and seminar facilities.
• A new multipurpose hall to replace the concrete dome.
• A new gymnasium with a full-size basketball court.
• A block box theatre with tiered seating.
• A new entry road to provide improved access to Callaghan College and Heaton Public School.
